Hi all. I have an odd question for some of you pros. I normally drive a 1999 escort ZX2, but I'm currently driving an old jeep. I'm trying to install a custom electric fan setup for it and need a temperature sensor. I'm curious if any of you know what temperature this switch turns on at....it's for a 1999 Ford Ranger 4.0L. I have a 97 ford ranger, but wasn't able to find any info on it's temperature switch either. Thanks, and here's the part in question....

One last thing. do any of you know what the connector that plugs into the sending unit is? I can't find it....Thanks all!

I don't have the manual for that model but most of the switches I've had dealings with turn the fan on at 221º. It mounts just below the thermostat so it picks up coolant temperature there. No idea where to find the connector.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't know they would kick on so late, I was looking for something around 185. Guess I'll have to check around.
