Apparently according to this film all the tough cars in the states are ricers.RX7,Supra.honda integras mostly turbo cars with nos under 10secs there was one V8 brute which done a wheelie.this film will get the adrenaline pumpin.

I've heard In The Red is pretty ordinary- and i think its only on a small video release at the moment. Who knows considering the popularity of Fast and the furious it might make it to VHS/DVD soon.

I have seen Bullitt which is very cool - a Mustang being driven incredibly fast around the streets of san francisco chasing another american muscle car.

And I havent seen it but - Running on Empty is supposed to have some cool Aussie muscle in it. Again I think it is hard to get and Video only.

I saw it today. I enjoyed it very much. was that v8 a charger with 426 hemi? Im not too good with my old american muscle cars. the only thing those Rice racers would beg ood for is picking up chicks. They get 10s with NOS and T66 turbos when I can get a N/A 351 to run 10s costing half that price. that yuppie in the ferrari musta felt like a goose losin to a riceboy though... oops sorry fellaz if i ruined the story for yas now:D

Yeah, It's cool.
Not the kinda movie you wanna take the misses to though;)
It was REALLY ricey, but I enjoyed it. - That big ass V8 in the end sucked, and there is no story line at all, but I'm not complaining!
My fav cars were the three civics:rolleyes:   - the ones that robed the trucks, they were mean! - but they should've replaced the green lights with blue:D  .
Funny part? - When that lady says to that guy, if you win or lose, I'm yours, but if you win, shes also yours! - AFTER RACE (he loses) ... BLOODY FUNNY!!!:D :D :D
8/10 ;)

Hmm, well after having this on VCD for over 2 months now, and seeing it a few times, I gotta say I'm disappointed. There's too much rice for a start, and the way that the main characters talk about engines/mods/anything mechanical is a huge wank.

For a movie it's not all bad, but certainly not in the league of classics like Bullitt or even modern stuff like Gone in 60 Seconds. There's just too much sh!tspinning by dickheads who are in no position to be proud of what they are or what they drive... :D

Mind you, it would be a great time to set up a rice shop with a specialisation in nitrous... I'm sure there's a hell of a lot of money to be made from base-model 4-pot riceboy wannabes..

ahh.. Bullitt, one of my favourite chase movies!

the same goes for Mad Max 2, Mad Max 1.. anyone seen Nash Bridges? Thats a MEAN Plymouth Barracuda he drives.. mmm, mopar!

yeah.. Methinks we need the next James Bond movie over here, and we need his a$$ firmly planted in a T-Series! and with all those goodies in the Bond cars, which are usually BMWs or Astons, that'd make a bit of a cult following for our local production vehicles!

Or even a Hilliers / 300+ Coupe, but with a Supercharged DOHC six (C'mon, Falcon is unique to Australia, why not have a motor in it thats also unique to this country? the Falcon Six could well end up being the symbol of national motoring pride!)

I have been reading the review on this film and they haven't been too good.

Reading some of your comments have encouraged me to see it this weekend!

Erm, not really... just because it's on a bigger screen with bigger sound, and I'm sharing the room with loudmouth dickhead teenage idiots, it doesn't improve the storyline or remove the weak points in the movie!! :thumbdown :D

If they had true American muscle cars in the film I would go and see it.
Not even going to bother.

This movie sucked. only redeaming things were Vin Diesel, he was better in Pitchblack (v.cool movie go see it,like aliens) and the photography was pretty good. Story was crap, bad guys were crap, cars were crap too, and way to commerical.

Everything was refered to by its brand name. It was a big fat add.

Okay, skylines, RX7's, supras are all hella cool. Ferraris are cool too. Civics, Jettas, hatchbacks are all crap. I know of standard Volvo's that are faster than those. I don't know of many cars that run consistant 10's but in this movie everything ran tens, cops, ferraris, civics, supras, s2000's, bikes, pushbikes, people running..

If they had stuck to a cast of bad arsed V8's, V12,'s and hairy inline japanese 6's turbos and rx7's then I would have been happier.

Script sucked bad. Very flawed.. Not a bad film, not a good film imo.

Ford should look at www.bmwfilms.com, Ford OZ should do adds like that...

True about the reviews. Every one I've read said it was pretty average, but they said the same about Gone in sixty seconds too.
I wouldn't mind seeing it, even though the story mightn't be much chop and it's a bit ricey. A snippet of the movie with the big arse Dodge Charger Mono-ing got me exited.

Not a bad movie, I quite liked it. The excessive rice got to me eventually though. Why the FARK he didn't work the lightning is completely beyond me however. It was funny watching all the kids afterwards fanging around the movie carpark in their sh!tbox cars afterwards though. One dude in a 1980 mazda 626 thought he was king sh!t. At least until a fox mustang pulled up next to him at the lights. No racing, the point had been made and mazda boy pulled his head in after that.
