Does anybody here visit the Uteman website? The ford engineers have just installed a 5.0L windsor variant into it, but ofcourse no info is given about the new engine. My guess is that its the stroker, surely, there's no other variant is there?

And apparently this Ute is the first to have manual, V8 and traction control..
I can guarantee that Ford cannot do manual with TC at the moment. The cars are engineered with 3 channel ABS and the conventional throttle setup makes tuning TC for a manual too hard. This was confirmed by GP when I was begging for TC a little while back. The autos with TC run the 4 channel ABS, however they are easier to cut back than manuals when wheelspin occurs

The uteman's ute might be running a development ABS/TRAC system useing fly-by-wire throttle. I would not be suprised if this is the case as it makes sense to me to have him test the system in the real world. Having driven cars with manual gearboxes and traction control I have so say it really isn't very smooth with all the driveline snatch. Granted it was a Saab 95 Aero, all 165+kws of turbo fun!

The Uteman Ute definitely has TC, manual and a new V8 installed.

Their are a couple of FORD engineers that contribute to the Utemans forum, and they work on the car, they have confirmed this. It may also be a new ABS system. This Ute is definitely a test bed for future technologies etc....
