Well we have a couple 4.0's namely JTR and JustinH that can do some damage. What happend at RPS was RPS this is TEAM SMURF, I agree I read half of the stuff over there and laugh at what they are saying. Trust me been there and done that with RT's. That whole thread was a waist of web space, and seems to still be going. I know what 3.0's are all about my 3.0 got beat by our shop truck which is a 96 4 Bangin Dakota,. But see its just not me and Shinoda that stood up so did JTR and he is one of the members of TEAM SMURF and just happens to have a 4.0l and was involved in the whole flame thing. I don't have a problem at this point but I can't speak for the rest.

Notice how the guys with real power hardly ever brag about smoking everything on four wheels? I noticed that Shinoda and Cobrasplash don't brag on the killstories board on the RPS site. I think that humility kicks ass, especially since you guys could ****ing romp all over the 4.0's and 3.0's on that site.

I see, my messages were obviously NOT intended for those who actually have fast rangers. But a whole freakin BUNCH of those idiots on the RPS board think they are the fastest thing on four wheels. I understand there are fast Rangers..... and like I said..... most of those idiots don't drive one! You guys do, and that is cool with me, I mean I wish I had a 4.0 in my truck. Hell.... I still wish I had my old 93. That 2.3 could probably out accelerate those 3.0's.
I know this cause I raced my friend's 3.0 92 Toyota Tacoma with my 2.3, and we were head to head until I shifted into third.....and that is when his torque was noticeable. It was pretty awesome, we were on a two lane residential road that had cars parked going BOTH ways, and we were probably about a foot away from each other, and about 6 inches from the cars on each side. I could hear him shifting (the actual clicking) and we were literally head to head, with no one pulling, until we both shifted into third. Then his truck started pulling. The only modification I had done to the 2.3 was a custom 7lb aluminum flywheel, shortened shifter, flowmaster exhuast, and a 9 bolt Ford posi with 4:10 gears out of a 5.0 mustang. At the same time, this same friend with the 3.0 Toyota raced a new 3.0 Ranger and beat it (he said it kept up with him pretty well).
haha, and I have no reason to BS, especially since I don't even have that truck anymore. Anyways, sorry if you guys got offended.

None taken. I read that whole post on the R/T stuff and lets face it only a few were offering to actually race to see who is the best. Let's face it I could say that my truck runs a 12 flat at 189mph on the web and not have to prove a thing. You can even photo shop time slips. My favorite was the guy with the SOHC 4.0l saying he could wip a Lightining with a few more mods, I was LMAO. I will admit most of the R/T's I have beat were a ss holes. One guys coment to me was "What ya got a 4 clynder?" I said "Why yes I do, does that make you feel any better?" Anyway my policy is put up or shut up! I probably get beat about as much as I win when I race someone that I think should be about equal. But why even brag that I beat a Civic or something of that caliber, but when you beat a moped, now that is worth bragin about. : )

I didn;t tell anyone this for the other guys sake but i feel like i can trust you guys. OK here we go, i was cruising around cali when i ran into John Force cruising in his Funny car, we hit the next light and he stuck his head out the roof flap and asked if i wanted to run em, i looked at his blown alci nitrous funny car and laughed, there was no way this old man with a greasy face was gonna beat my splash. I could hear him in his car going WOHOOO!!! WOOHOO DAMN!!!CASTROL MUSTANG!!!!!!WOHOOO!!(you know like after they interview him after a run) so I knew it was on. The light turned green i droped it a 9K and took off, hit 7th and i was gone, john was 20 cars behind, i figured i got it up to about 987mph cus the skin peeled off my face. But i beat Jon Force in his funny car, true story.
Hey were you using the carbon fiber muffler bearings? John Force is a punk, he chalanged me to a race while he was here in Dallas. I told him it wasn't worth my time because I just installed the carbon fiber muffler bearings and the package said "MAKES ANY CAR ROCKET DOWN THE 1/4 MILE IN -4 SEC." So you see it really would have been a wast of time.

Mine havent come in the mail yet, I need them to beat my neighbors Vtwin Briggs and Stratton, that tractor has them and big tires too!! Im worried if I race now without them, Even though I do have 67,000hp at the window crank, it might not be enough. hey i do not have no slow 4.0 and i am doing more as we speak things haulted for now till i get that damn 4x4 out of it but then i will header and cat abck for the mazda and then a chip and cams and shaved heads i have plans but baby =money and so does the 4x4 swap heheh
