I believe you want to know when to replace it? Soon I would advise. I wouldnt let the mileage go beyond 70k.

You're the guy from ohio right?

I can't say that I'll help ya w/ yours (cause when I changed mine it was too boring to do again) but I can supply you with a belt with just under 10,000 miles on it for like 10 bux at the dayton meet.

California says 105,000 miles, so I don't see why the rest of the country can't wait until then. The 60,000 mile standard is a myth created to fatten the dealer's pocketbook.

But at 70,000 many people's waterpump goes out

If I bought a new car I'd probably spend all of my money keeping it in top running order, since I bought a used car I spend all my money keeping it running.

I just got my car and it has 120K kms on it, that would make it about 80K miles. I don't know if the timing belt has been changed. How do it find out?

Maybe its this warm CA sun?

I have 100,500 miles on my 95 pgt w/ stock timing belt and wter pump/etc. The only thing I've needed to change in its lifetime were both CV boots, vc gaskets twice (damn leaks), and the stock clutch thatthe n2o took out. Other than that, its just regualr oil changes and tune-ups to enjoy the n2o use.
