I have a 1984 E150 and this is the first 80's vehicle I've owned with the 351W. I'm use to the older Fords with the Ignition Control Module mounted on the inner fender and vacuum advance timing and I'd like some insight on whether or not I have an issue.
I tuned the carburetor with a vacuum gauge and set the timing to 12 degrees BTDC and it runs perfect, idles nice at 750rpms and revs smooth. The only issue I noticed is that when I had the timing light on it and would rev it, the timing did not advance any. Again, I'm new to this setup and was wondering if I have an issue?
