I just installed a set of timing gears (Top, Bottom,and 2 center balancer gears) on my 460 (85 F250) upon starting it, I realized the distributer is no longer turning (ugh)...I pulled the distributer to see if I had sheared the gears and it was in good shape...any suggestions??

Check to see if the cam is turning when the crank turns, look at a rocker through the oil filler hole or if dizzy is still out, look down the dizzy hole and see if the gear is turning.
You may have left out a dowell pin and eihter the crank gear is turning on the crank or the cam gear is doing the same thing on the cam.

I'll assume you have put a gear drive on??? did the idlers mesh with both gears?

**** dude, sounds like ya cams not turning, might have tweak some valves. Turn motor by hand from now on, till ya find out. Are you using same came as b4,
