I have just noticed after doing some research that some CFI EA's have an inner "AND" outer TPS whilst others only have a single TPS?

Whats the deal with this? Why is this so?

I thought that there was a TPS for the engine ECU and a TPS for the auto tranny ECU. And from EB2 onwards the auto ECU and engine ECU were a single unit, so I guess it would only need one...

I don't know though if the EA MPFIs had 2 TPS sensors...

yes, they did! 4spd EA's and EBI's, CFI and MPFI had dual TPS.
