I just bought a second hand Trick Flow EFI manifold. It is the street manifold, not a track heat or R series. Are these any good? Any idea of what their maximum HP would be? I'm wondering if it would be suitable for a 347 stroker. I also have an explorer manifold off an AU3 220kW 5.0. Which is the higher potential HP intake (and therefore most suited to the 347)?

Thanks in advance for any comments

Cheers

I thought the 220 had a GT40 rather than an explorer.

The trickflow would be the better of the two.

Although both (the trickflow & GT40) would have over a 400hp potential, and give good midrange on something like a 347

Thanks for your reply. All the AU3 220's I've seen have explorer type manifolds. They were supposed to have been slightly ported at the factory, and were fitted with a 70mm TB, but no spacer between the upper intake and the TB. This was how I was told you could exturnally ID a 200kW from a 220kW. Also under the rocker covers of the 220kW engines are shaft mounted roller rockers.

Sounds like the Trick Flow will be the intake I keep for the 347 buildup. My target is about 400-425 flywheel HP.

Thanks again
