van or pickup?back few on the pickup is a little tough but the van is terrible :bang:
7mm(or 9/32)bolt holds each coil pack, once the bolt is out just lift the coil pack out and the plug is down in the hole. my most reliable method so far is using a plug socket with a decent rubber insert that will actually hang on to plug and taping the socket to a 6 inch extension, sucks trying to fish the socket or plug out of that hole. remember it has aluminum heads so be very careful not to crossthread a plug, almost impossible to repair those threads on the truck therefore the head will have to come off(not fun)
is the engine skipping or just routine maintenance? very common for those coil packs to go bad at 100K miles plus.
