DETROIT -- Ford Motor Co. said on Wednesday it will add 400 to 600 more jobs at its Chicago assembly plant and its nearby supplier campus, and it will build a new Mercury vehicle at the facility.
Ford said it will add about 300 new jobs to the vehicle assembly plant, bringing the total to 2,700, and another 100 to 300 to the supplier campus for a total of as many as 1,300.
A fourth vehicle, Mercury crossover vehicle, will be added to the plant, Ford said.
