Hi I just brought a 98 long reach ute and it was running fine then one morning tried starting it and it was winding real slow then the tensioner pulley let go so I brought another pulley and stater motor and replaced them now the car is still winding slow and won't fire and both terminals are getting super hot.. Please help I'm at a loss as to what it could be.

If it's the battery terminals that are getting hot it could be as simple as loose or dirty terminals or the terminals may have insulating corrosion on the braided wire inside the terminals (disconnect both terminals and check for zero ohms between the inside of the battery terminal and the braided wire or in the case of the negative terminal the inside of the terminal and where the other end is attached to earth).
