hey guys, I just changed my cam again!!!! So I'm selling the one that came out... Wade class this as a Turbo grind cam. it was made custom for a turboed EF, but judging by the specs and how it ran in my car it's a great N/A cam too...the down side is the idle to quite lumpy, but it's happy to idle at the stock 700rpm, it just jumps around abit...sounds porn at idle though, it's a really "rumpity rumpity" idle :)

these are the specs off the top of my head:

Duration @ .050"
inlet : 217*
exhaust: 217*

Lift
inlet : 535 thou
exhaust : 535 thou

phase angle : 114*

Power comes on strong at about 3750rpm....but is pretty good below that...

also this cam is a billet, so no shims required, BUT you will need bigger valve springs.

I payed $490 including GST
it's only done about 3000km, so...
I'd like about $400, but I'm open to offers...

so from what your saying, (i have a stock ea engine (mpfi)) i can just put the cam in, and the only thing i will need to change is the valve springs???
any ~power increase figures?

how much are bigger valve springs and where can they be obtained?

Would XR6 valve springs be strong enough, and if not how much to replace them? How would this cam compare to my crow stage 2 cam I had in my eb gli? thanks, michael

it's doesn't have a profile, it's a "secret grind" but the specs are at the top of the thread.

yes it will bolt straight in and all you'll need is valve springs, it's quite big though, to get the full benifit out of it you will need extractors and an exhaust. power figures? I have no idea, it would depends on head work, computer tune, exhaust, inlet, etc.

no, XR6 valvespring won't be good enough, the lift is way too much...this cam is shiteload bigger then a stage 2 crow...

I hope I answered everyones question...I need to get rid of this cam soon, so all REALISTIC offers will be considered...

well they cost about $450 from Wade as this is billet cam not a regrind....you can't actually buy this one, it's not for the public...

it's was only in the car for like 4 weeks or something, so it's bearly used...

I would accept $375 I guess...but as I said, make a realistic offer and I'll consider it..

how much are valve springs? how much would i need to get it in the car after puchasing the cam? What is a vernier gear and would I need it?

you can use the crow valve springs, they're about $200. the vernier gear allows you to adjust the cam timing, not overly important, but could help....

herrod charge me $200 to fit a cam, but I'm sure there would be plenty of guys on here that would be willing to help you out..
