Water froze within seconds after splashing on the front windscreen of a car in northern China.

The dashcam video, filmed in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on January 8, shows a vehicle driving through a puddle seeing water splash onto a car behind it.

The water on the front windscreen of the car turns into ice immediately, blocking the motorist's view.

According to local reports, the scared motorist Mr Liu stopped his car and put a warning sign before using a bank card to scrape the ice off.

It took Liu more than 15 minutes to clean the ice.
