Wet door speakers?

1428 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  R.S.LOGAN
I have a 2010 Ford escape. I replaced the stock speakers and added a subwoofer. Today I went to warm up my car to get snow off and I heard some horrible rattling when I played music. I brought my car in the garage and took the door apart to find the speaker was wet. Does anybody know why this happened/how I can fix it?

Sorry cant help you on that , never used them .When we had a car with this problem or audio guy used plastic shields , usually on top half of speakers .Or if it was on a vehicle prone to water ingress at speakers , they would used speakers with shields already fitted .
