These stats are from the car makers themselves.
Ford. : Ka 68%. Escape 35%. Falcon 29%. Explorer 27%. Fairlane 15%.
Holden : Barina 68%. Astra Convertible 62%. Astra 61%. Vectra V6 56%. Zafira 45%. Commodore 20% . Statesman 13% . Monaro 9% .
BMW : Mini 30%. 3 Series 29%. 5 Series 17%. 7 Series 8%.
Mitsubishi : Mirage 63%. Lancer 59%. Nimbus 42%. Magna 31%. Verada 24%. Challenger 25%. Pajero 23%.
Mercedes : C-Class Coupe. CLK Coupe and Convertible. A-Class. M-Class. "No % given as we treat women the same as men"

So I am guessing that the meaning of your statistics is that of, say all the Ka buyers...68% are female. For a moment there I thought that all the figures were going to add up to 100% for each make....my brain was about to explode!

Interesting figures casrms...particularly to see what is the most girly make! :s6:

FordHawk, figures are in the latest issue RACQ Road Ahead magazine.
Mazda stats 2 65%. Premacy 58%. 323 & 6 53%. Tribute 48%. MX5 38%. MPV 30%
Astina would be in the 323 figure.
SAAB : Convertible 9-3 50%. 9-5 Wagon 40%. 9-3 Coupe 30%. 9-3 Sedan 15%. 9-5 Sedan 12%.
Volkswagen : Polo 67%. Beetle 67%. Golf 56%. Bora 30%. Passat 22%.
Jaguar : X Type 30%. S Type 28%. XK 20%. XJ 15%.
