This is all hypothetical.


Assume this situation, you and your girlfriend are getting on a plane. Your both 20. The plane gets hijacked and you attempt to jump the lone hijacker. This startles him and he accidently fires a shot and kills your girlfriend.

50 years later.

You now are 70 and we have found away to go back in time.
Against all advice you decide to go back in time to save your girlfriend....
You get on the plane with your girlfriend and your 20 year old self, when your 20 year old self goes to jump the hijacker you push him backk and jump the hijacker from adifferent angle and he shoots 70 year old you instead.


Now.. since you went back in time and saved your woman, the future would be changed, and she would be alive. this would give you no reason to go back in time, and therefore you would not go back and be shot.

SO what would happen. Would you die, would things be as if nothing ever happend but your woman survived. Or would she live until the day you went back in time and then just suddenly drop dead.

Whats your thoughts?

Oh well, but anyway, you being shot at 70 would just be the end of your life. All the other things would still have happened but being shot at 70 youd just be dead and 20 year old you would live to become that 70 year old that gets shot...
Hopefully I got my facts straight for that....

Sort of like, what if you invented a time machine, went back in time and set a bomb to go off 5 minutes beofre you went back in time to set the bomb. T

Try to imagine that for every outceom of a choice you are faced with, there is a seperate 'reality' formed in some sort of parellel univese. Where a seperate you live's the rest of his life having made that differnt choice.

So in your exampl e with the hijakers, there already IS a reality where you were shot instead of your girlfriend.
