Anyone know how the heck to get the sliding door panel off. I followed the Ford Manual and Chiltons and was not able to get this to release. I've removed the front door panels in the past, but this does not seem to have anything in common.

I've got a 96 GL. Somehow or other the outside handle got broken and fixed it temporarily in a manner Red Green would be proud, duct tape. Got a new door handle for it, and from a previous encounter with a door handle, i've got a panel removal tool, and bought a haynes. I'm in the same boat as you I'm not exactly sure how to,let me know. Meantime i might need a new door panel.
