The wipers on my '50 Ford are not working right. When the switch is turned on the wiper arms only move to the out side of the windshield they will not move back and forth. Any ideas on what might be the problem. They are the vaccum type.

Either a vacuum leak or sticky linkage.

After replacing the rubber hoses on my 50 ford I put a little air tool oil in the wiper motor before I put it back on the car
