You know how, with age, the threads on the manual gearknobs can sag, requiring it to be turned further to tighten it, so it winds up upside down?
Me and Graham worked out today that if you put chewing gum on top of the gearstick and then screw the knob back on, if you used the right amount it will fill up some of the space and the gearstick ends up being tight at a nice straight position again!
Hehe how's that for a dodgy fix?
