Please stop me if I am wrong, but I thought this 7.0 litre Truck engine belonged in a Corvette C5R?

What justification is there that a Moron... sorry, a "Monaro" is allowed to compete with a LeMans/Nascar engine and the ****ing thing isn't even a production car?

Strange how EVERY single "Real" production Monaro can't take out a Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Does GM provide the payroll for this bloody thing or what? If they want to race a 427, put the goddamned Corvette C5R in there for chrissake!

They'd be crying bloody murder if we used a Ford GT90 engine in a Zetec Focus after a set of false advertising and expectations!

Cheers.

Well it's a cv8, and I've never seen a cv8 with a 427 engine. Ever.

Leaves me wondering, why ford don't use an indy car o get a jag F1 car and blast that around the 24hr.

yeh, why don't ford get off their ass and enter something that has an outright chance........
Bastard!!

Holden have done everything within the rules and marketed it to perfection. The only disappointment should be that Ford Oz hasn't replied in kind.

Well how much were the rules bent to allow Holden to play using that toy?
No more than they would be if Ford wanted a shot.

Its just they are either lazy or gutless.

Take that coupe they designed not long ago. What ever happened to that? Great car, but no drive from the bosses.

i dont want to go too much into why or why it shouldnt be allowed into the race i would just like to point out i have noticed many users on these forums in other threads say they are supporting bowe this weekend

i hope none of these bowe supporters are saying throw the monaro out. well unless they can show me the V8 BMW M3 that you can buy from a BMW Dealer

honestly, please correct me if i am wrong but i have never heard of a V8 M3 myself

We did Strife but this year there is not even a pretence that this car will ever be built. the Commodore Association Of Moptorsport ( aka CAMS ) should be ashamed to let a situation like this develop.

and it'll happen again, just a question of time.

The series is run by Procar, not Holden.

Ultimately Holden built a race car and Procar let them race it. IF there is a fault, it's not that Holden still race the 427, it is that Procar allows it.

The big question is why isn't there a FPR entered 7 litre GT HO with Ambrose, Lowndes, Ingall and Seton driving... Then I guarantee there will be none of the "the monaro isn't production" crap
I guarrantee there will be.
And there'll be bitching and moaning about the "HO" and the "Monaro".
There will be calls to make the series production, and how people on here would love to see a showroom production series come to the forefront.
It's always been this way as long as I can remember on here, and I doubt it'll change because ford race some stupidly powered fake car aronud a circuit agaisnt other fake cars.

am i invisible just cause i am not a regular poster?

you say it would be like this for any car ford.boy, not just the monaro.

then why arent people bitching about the BMW M3 GTR V8?
Cause they actually built 50(?) or so V8 M3s and sold them to the public.
