Here they are guys, no they're not for my car, a couple of guys wanted to see how they looked. THe mirror stainless steel sill plates are pretty good, I reckon they'd look handy with a tickford badge on them.

They look cool, but wouldn't your feet slide around on them!? I can just see myself polishing the mirror finish too, every time I get in and out of the car!

Cheers,

Simon....

last one. The sill plates aren't actually touched by your feet when you get in the car, so they rarely mark. The floor mats aren't very slippery with the right shoes on, barefeet, no worries, socks, watch out!!

hey xr8sam,
i love the checker plate floor and sill plates.
could u post some details about sticking them in... like would you have to get a pro to do it... what types of glue. Also how you bent and cut them to the right shape, can u do that yourself easily?? Also if you know what sort of $$ your looking at to do it.

thanks i think it looks sweet.

OK guys, the sill protectors are attatched using double sided tape, the same stuff that holds your side skirts on at 100km/hr. You can fix them down by drilling the matching hole to the sill, but it is not required. They are only an addition to the existing plastic sill cover. I will make a complete replacement one up today though, it would require screw fixing though. I'll put some prices up next week for those of you who are interested.

Could one of the Mods move this to the for sale section please as I seem to be in production now!!. Prices will be as follows for aluminium checker plate floor mats.

front : $30 each
rear : $20 each

Mirror finish sill covers, including double sided fixing tape-
$10 each.

Can be done for all Falcons EA - AU
The rear mats are a 300x350 rectangle with rounded corners.

PLUS postage. Which I assume will be about $10 - $20 depending on how many you want.

I will be passing through Sydney in the school holidays so I can leave them with a mate in Drummoyne if this helps!

Not sure how we'll work out payment yet.

Hey XR8sam,

do the floor mats just sit in, or are they stuck in??
Do the mats fit flush enough with the floor to stick them??

Can you put the sils on the rear? and i am assuming the price is cut and bent...??

cheers they look sweet

Floor mats just sit in place, no fixing required, and yes they fit flush. Sills are for front and rear.

sam, do you know is there a way to engrave patterns onto the sill plates? what i'd like to do is have the ford logo cut onto the plate, and then have the grooves filled with... whatever... something black so it stands out.

i have plenty of ideas, but i don't know how to realise them...

Could get it engraved, buy a sticker, buy a badge. Remember, your foot doesn't touch the sill plate.
