Howdy all. 1988 EA 5spd. Fuel pump isn't working. We have no power to the pump and i replaced the relay. I tested the fusible link and there is power going out from there. What else can i do to get some voltage to the pump???
Howdy all. 1988 EA 5spd. Fuel pump isn't working. We have no power to the pump and i replaced the relay. I tested the fusible link and there is power going out from there. What else can i do to get some voltage to the pump???
Use a multimeter to see if 12V is reaching the pump plug. If it is, the pump is probably stuffed. If not, there is a break or short in the line. In this case try jumpering 12V directly to the pump to see if it works. the pumps are not cheap - around the $200 mark new, and they commonly fail. :-(
