Undoubtedly, everyone has dreamed about winning the lottery and imagined what to do with all the money. So to keep that fantasy alive for car enthusiasts, we asked our readers to vote for their Dream Car 2005. The process follows the same qualification rules as The Best Car 2005, but we uncapped the $100,000 MSRP limit to come up with a list of five exciting candidates: the Aston Martin DB9, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Ford GT, Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster and Maserati MC12. The total cost of these five cars rings up more than $1.6 million at the register, and that's before options, taxes, license and insurance.

The Ford GT
As soon as the polls opened, the Ford GT surged ahead with more votes than any other Dream Car. It finished with nearly twice as many winning ballots as the next runner-up, the Aston Martin DB9.
