Thought you had stopped working or repairing anything on your vehicle till next year from your other posts on overheating ?

Sorry, I meant I would take care of the heating issue next year when it eventually gets hot again. It's cooler here now in NY. So no heat issues at the moment.

 

I have seen some really competitive prices for brand new rims from 3 different companies.

1. Ion
2. Pro Comp
3. American Racing.

I need to know what rim width I would need on the rim size. I have 15" at 4.5, I need the width size now. I'm using P235 75 15 tires on my stock Ford rims.

 

 

Yours is probably 6". That width works great with your tire size of 235/75R15.

 

Thanks you think I can get away with 7'' or 8'' rims? I haven't seen 6'.

 

Maybe 7" and move up to a little wider 255/70R15 tire. That tire height will be about the same as what you have now.

 

I just found out my Ford Ranger stock rims are 7" wide. Thanks.

 

I'm restoring the original rims now. I'll save some bucks. I removed the clear coat with a paint remover and sanded out the aluminum. Looking good. 1st one took 5 hrs.
