make sure the earth for amps is to a got chassis spot and not battery and all earts are in one group. if this does not help it may be the rca cables to your amps, filter are avalable for these

 

Another thing to check too is that your RCA leads aren't running with you amp power cable. Your problem seems to be only when both amps are running, the current draw will cause interference. The best way is to run the power cable down one side of the car (preferably the side of the battery/shorter distance) and run the RCA's down the other side. And as IAN SCHMIDT said check your earth.

Just an observation,

If i were you, i'd amp your fronts and let your rears run off the headunit.. This way you'll get some nice staging at the front of the car..

And yeah, check your power and rca cables aren't running along the same side of the car, as the power lead has a charge or something and effects the rca plugs, creating a buzzing..

Yagz - Lol at your location!!! And some good advice there - Not much point running rears off an amp when the fronts are the speakers you hear the most.

Bin - It is your car, so your choice (naturally)! I had this same problem, but mine was caused by a cheap and nasty amp. New amp fixed the problem - not saying this is your problem, just my own experience. I also listed to advice from (I think) Fusion who suggested the RCAs down one side and power down the other. This helped to fix the probs with the inferior amp, but a new amp cleared them up totally.

try running seperate earths for your amps, they getting a ground loop through the RCA's. Also make sure you run a seperate ground from the headunit too. If that fails, get yourself a ground loop isolator and install in the RCA's just before the amp and the problem will be solved.

 

This is what u do if you want get rid of the ghay buzzing sound

take out your deck unplug the rca's then chop the lil round bit
spread the 2 wires + n - and connect them to your speaker wires coming out of the head unit.

This will solve ur problem and it will increase ur doof doof

but it doesnt work with all amps some cant handle the pwr because now ur runnin 45w or so rms per channel

This is a really good way to fry the input stage of your power amp and send it into early retirement!

To run speaker outputs into an amplifier you MUST use Speaker-Line Pads/Convertors. A speaker o/p is much to hot for a line input.

the problem is when the car is running i get this Fu&$en annoying buzzing sound through the speakers, its made worse when the fan is on and even worse when the air con is on and when you put ya foot into it.

the thing taht is weird i can run the speakers without the sub and there is no buzzing, the same goes for the sub with no rear speakers running, its when they are both running together ya gets this buzzing taht pisses everyone in the car off and i was wondering if anyone out there was able to help me out with this prob or have come across it before...

Your best bet for starters is to ensure you're earthed to one point to eliminate ground loops and separate your power and signal cables.

Try disconnecting parts of the system, ie,

Remove RCA's from Amp, if noise stops, problem is before amp, maybe ground loop to h/u, h/u picking up noise, cable picking up noise.

If noise continues, it's the amp. Maybe a power filter might do the trick if it's electrical noise/dirty power from other accessories

Unplug RCA's from back of h/u, so amps with RCA connected but h/u unplugged. Maybe the noise is in the rca

Have you tried measuring the voltage when it's all up and running? It is possible that these amps are noisy when the voltage drops a bit.

Make sure the amplifier chassis aren't touching

 

its a bad idea having two earths going into one. Just think about the amps being pumps, as you feed in two 8 guage pipes, they all exit into one, so theres a bottleneck in the system.

run RCAs down middle of car, power on side.

Make power cables as short as possible to eliminate interferance.

 

But please <b>earth in the one place!</b> You could just attatch all the lugs to the chassis at the one point.

 

Had the same problem with my last car which was running Sub&Amp I took it back to JB Hi-Fi and I installed this little box/filter which plugs into the RCA's and earthed on the car somewhere.It only cost like $20 and it still works fine.
