EA Headlight Reflector.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience of removing the Reflector from a EA Headlight Assembly ?
I understand that they are sold and serviced as an assembly but i have one with a damaged Outer casing and one with a tarnished reflector and would like to make one good one out of the Two.
It appears that it is secured into the casing by Two Adjustment rods that have the Knobs on the outside but i can't see how they disconnect from the Reflector assembly or how the knobs come off the Shafts.
Any info from someone that has seen this done would be appreciated.

G'day tooo easy.

First, use a screwdriver to flick off the retaining clips that secure the glass, and carefully remove the glass.

Then where the adjusting screws come through, simply pull the reflector off....you can use a screwdriver if your are CAREFULL.

Re-assembly is simply a matter of popping everything back on. A little grease on the adjuster may certainly help..

A little muscle is required, but they do just clip together.

If you have a self serve wreckers nearby you may want to go practice....but i have NEVER broken one..they are pretty hardy.

If you look at the retaining clip on the glass, you will see its slotted. Use a number 2 flat blade and go into the slot on the plastic side, and lever down to the glass....thats the easiest way to to get the clips off....refit on the glass side first, and you can press them on by hand.

OF note! ford DO service the base, reflector, glass and seal seperately. done heaps of em.
Cheers
