Idle when warming up?

all the vehicles i have had idle at a higher RPM when you are warming up then kick down after the temp is up a little but i noticed my explorer still idles at about 800 RPM even when i have just started it up in the morning. Is this normal or could there be a small problem causing this?

yeah that seams like a pretty normal idle, especially for your environment. all cars and trucks are diff. none are gonna be the same.

J this is normal for your environment. having lived up near where you are at I have seen this all too often.
