Its the same down Chapel street way, thay see somthing with real horse power and they run and hide. It is a nice feling to beat them with 30 plus years of cast iron dont you think.

 

When your doing 100km/h just drop it back to second and spin up the back wheels. This trick also works a treat when your being tailgated.

A few year back we were following a mate in his XA in a 70km/h zone when he dropped it back to second and spun the wheels. The car next to us had a driver in 40's with his the family in the car. The guy was shaking his head, but he had a huge grin on his face.

I just love the torque curve on this thing. it is seriously flat from 2200 to 4500 (i guess exhaust starts killing it) so I can be rolling along in 2nd at 60kmh at 2600rpm and have 1100N of tractive force on tap....

It gets really bad when you go to the not so legal drags and can't get someone to run you. I had my car out for awhile and did a solo pass. after that no-one would pull up. Damn girls! It's not that fast really!

My only comments when asked how fast it is? Are "Not fast enough for me". Till it frightens me, it aint fast enough hehehe.

2.75's would be scarey @ 6000rpm in top gear! I used to get a fright when I ran 3.00's in 2nd @ 7000rpm. I was scarey to slot into top.

I made my first ever trip to QLD on Monday. I was amased by the number of Fast Fours Car Yards. I think I counted at least 4 between UMG and Brissy CBD.

Might i add, I was really impressed with the way Qld turned on the weather. The VY Hire car aircon never went below High, and the Aircon in the hotel, I couldn't get to go below 17.

 

Ive been waiting for some ricer to try race me for sometime now since finishing mine the only thing that tryed and succeded was this ducati road bike, and only because i still had me radial T/As on it by time i was finished crossing from the outer to inner lane and back again i hit second and he was 100m ahead so i backed off it, besides the lady that was in the lane next to me at the lights didnt look to impressed

 

i dont stress over racing on the streets anymore, i am going to do some drifting next year to complete my driver training

No one will play when I'm out either, although they bloody ought to seeing as my ZH is not exactly at its best right now... I reckon my wife's car might give it a go!

Having said that, I did drive it on Saturday afternoon and gunned it from the traffic lights at Carseldine onto the Bruce Highway. Of course, I was testing it out after my latest mod (tightening up the rockers... again... ahem) and I managed to stall it up just a little, a slight chrip from the rears and held it up to 70 in 1st before slapping it into 2nd... backed off at about 130 or so (the needle fluctuates, so it's hard to be sure!) and the car behind me caught me up and its passenger, a young male, gave me a little clap from his seat. Made me feel good - might not be the fastest ship in the galaxy, but it does have a bit of oomph and it sounds bloody fantastic now I've got rhe exhausts hooked up.

Roll on January, when a fresh 351 shall be inserted.

I think you would need a lot more than that to catch a Ducati of the line, you might real him in down the track in a pro street vehicle, (LOL), but of the line he would have you by mile's.

10.5 sec 1/4 miles are about the norm for most stock litre bikes these days, provided it's not some poser on it.
